Client feedback: Reviewing aerial spraying programs in NSW
“Wild Matters were engaged by the Illawarra Shoalhaven joint Organisation (ISJO) in August 2019 to undertake an evidence based review of the Illawarra District Weeds Authority (IDWA) Bitou Bush Aerial Spraying Program and an assessment against best practice guidelines.
Wild Matters were chosen as the preferred consultant for this project based on their expertise in weed management issues and their ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. Despite changes in directions and time frames over the course of the project Wild Matters delivered a comprehensive but easy to understand plain English report that provided a raft of recommendations and key messages for community education. A risk assessment matrix and decision support tool to assist future decision-making in the selection of control methods for Bitou Bush which balanced cost, resources required and environmental and health implications was key to ensuring the ISJO/IDWA had the necessary data to guide it in any future decision making process.
Wild Matters were flexible, responsive, easy to contact and delivered the required review on time and within budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services for similar projects. – David Pomery Chief Weeds Officer IDWA

Client feedback: Developing a draft Deer Management Strategy for Victoria.
“Matt and Shauna, Thank you for the great job you have done working with both departments to develop the draft deer management strategy, particularly given the complexities of working with multiple departments and agencies, the Advisory Group and a broad range of stakeholders. Your flexibility in accommodating changes in direction and time frames, your responsiveness throughout the project and your ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders enabled us to navigate a complex and challenging project.” Susanna French, project manager, DEDJTR
Client feedback: Developing the Opuntioid cacti: best practice control manual
“Wild Matters was engaged in 2016-17 to collate the current knowledge of the management of opuntioid cacti throughout Australia and produce a national best practice management manual and associated products. The comprehensive process put in place to engage all stakeholders resulted in a high quality publication that has been valuable for everyone involved in managing cactus. Wild Matters were more than willing to be flexible and communicative throughout the contract and ensured that timelines were adhered to. I would recommend them for any similar contracts in the future.” Kay Bailey, Manager – Priority Weed Response, Invasive Species, DPIRD.
