The project provided a comprehensive set of tools and templates for Local Government to develop Biosecurity Plans (a statutory document under the Biosecurity Act). The tools provided a practical and scientifically robust process to determine management priorities for pest animal and weeds at the Local Government level. Templates and guidelines were also developed to help Local Government draft their biosecurity plans.
Services provided:
- Determine Local Government need and capacity to develop biosecurity plans
- Facilitate workshops throughout Queensland
- Assess current risk assessment principles to develop a tailored methodology
- Develop tools, guides and templates
- Deliver training in the use of tools.
